Commercial Tire

When Bob Schwenkfelder opened his first location of Commercial Tire at 12th & State St. in Boise back in 1968, his goal was simply to make a good life and good living for Bonnie & himself, and their two children, Trent and Kelli. As time went on, his common sense, sound business practices and solid ethics proved to be key ingredients in helping the company far outgrow his original goal, and he had the vision to take that route. The Commercial Tire family grows and expands with each new family that comes into the company. When they finally sat down to develop the Commercial Tire mission statement, Bob’s new vision was obvious, and all employees are urged to dedicate themselves to that mission:

  • To provide customers with the highest quality products and professional services at the greatest possible value.
  • To provide good jobs, working conditions and benefits for employees.
  • To constantly improve Commercial Tire’s overall image in the marketplace and be recognized as a company which strives for excellence in all endeavors.
  • To accomplish objectives with a fair profit to Commercial Tire.

Since that first mission statement was tacked to the wall over forty years ago, Commercial Tire has consistentlystrived to provide commercial and consumer drivers with the best service, the best product, and the best price possible.

Eagle Home Mortgage

Eagle Home Mortgage

We have always been responsive to the needs of homebuyers. Starting out as one of the first Mortgage Brokers in 1984 in order to provide people with more options and opportunity, we evolved into a full-service Mortgage Banker to offer greater assurance with the ability to underwrite, fund and close our own loans in-house. Our independence as a Mortgage Banker and a proud member of The Lennar Family of Companies (NYSE:LEN) has played a crucial role in allowing us to make prudent decisions that will enable us and our clients to weather the current financial crisis – as well as the next one.

It’s easy to be a mortgage company when you can approve nearly anyone who seeks a loan, with little regard for the consequences. However, doing it the right way, especially in the new economy, takes extraordinary passion, experience and determination. Though it’s anything but easy, Eagle Home Mortgage is committed to guiding people toward a new sense of freedom, the kind that comes from true ownership in the American Dream.

Company Information

At Idaho Power, we work hard every day to bring energy to your door. We do it safely and proudly. You can rest easier knowing we are always there. Planning for the future, caring for the environment, partnering with you. Big and small. Day and night. Today and tomorrow.

We are your neighbors, your friends and your family, and you can always count on us for reliable, responsible, fair-priced service.

Company Facts

Idaho Power is an electric utility engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution, sale and purchase of electric energy and is regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the state regulatory commissions of Idaho and Oregon. The company is involved in the following business activities:

Generation — we rely on our 17 hydroelectric generating plants on the Snake River and its tributaries, natural gas-fired plants and shares of three jointly-owned coal-fired plants.
Transmission — to get electricity generated at Hells Canyon, for example, to homes and businesses, it’s first transmitted over long distances on transmission lines to substations.
Distribution – distribution lines are smaller than transmission lines and are used to bring electricity from substations to homes and businesses.
Sales — of electricity to retail (residential, business and irrigation) and wholesale (other utilities, energy marketing companies and incorporated municipalities) customers.
Purchases — we purchase from the wholesale market when additional energy is needed to serve customer loads or when purchasing from the market is less costly than running our generating plants.

With 17 low-cost hydroelectric projects as the core of our generation portfolio, our residential, business and agricultural customers pay some of the nation’s lowest prices for electricity.

Lions Give

The Mountain Home Lions Club helps make our community a better place to live. And we matter locally, because people know that they can count on us to pitch in. Whether it is on improving eyesight – or other community service projects, – our adopted service proprograms allow us to work on a diverse array of projects.

  • Lions give everyone the opportunity to live a healthy life. Since Helen Keller challenged Lions to be “knights of the blind” in 1925, clubs like ours have worked on sight projects.
  • Lions give youth the chance to learn, grow and serve. Today’s children are our future. That’s why many Lions clubs choose to work on youth projects such as sponsoring a Leo club, a local Peace Poster Contest or a Youth Camp and Exchange – or providing services for children and youth in need.
  • Lions give assistance to our planet and its inhabitants. Lions also work to protect our environment – and help people in need around the globe. Through our Community/Environment, International Relations and Disaster Relief programs, you can do projects that improve your community – and our world.

Check our Website or look us up on FaceBook ... We are committed to serving our community and are always looking for volunteers to help us with our mission !!!

Subway History

The Seventeen-Year-Old Entrepreneur

Back in 1965, Fred DeLuca set out to fulfill his dream of becoming a medical doctor. Searching for a way to help pay for his education, a family friend suggested he open a submarine sandwich shop.  With a loan of $1,000, the friend—Dr. Peter Buck—offered to become Fred’s partner, and a business relationship was forged that would change the landscape of the fast food industry.  The first shop was opened in Bridgeport, Connecticut in August, 1965. Then, they set a goal of having 32 stores opened in 10 years. Fred soon learned the basics of running a business, as well as the importance of serving a well-made, high quality product, providing excellent customer service, keeping operating costs low and finding great locations. These early lessons continue to serve as the foundation for successful SUBWAY restaurants around the world.

A Fresh Future

Today, the SUBWAY® brand is the world's largest submarine sandwich chain with more than 40,000 locations around the world. We’ve become the leading choice for people seeking quick, nutritious meal options that the whole family can enjoy. From the beginning, Fred has had a clear vision for the future of the SUBWAY® brand. As we continue to grow, we are guided by his passion for delighting customers by serving fresh, delicious, sandwiches made-to-order right in front of you.

DOUBLE R RANCH
NORTHWEST BEEF. BEEF BEYOND BELIEF.

Always tender, always juicy, Double R Ranch is our premium brand of grain-fed beef with a flavor as bold as the West. Our cattle are carefully raised by our network of family ranchers from around the Northwest. These proud men and women share our Western values and traditions—and most importantly, our mission to produce exceptional beef from ranch to table.

ONLY IN THE NORTHWEST

The Double R Ranch itself sits on 70,000 breathtaking acres in the Okanagan region of Washington State. Named after our founder Robert Rebholtz, Sr., it represents the heart and soul of the company. The Rebholtz’s family roots are in ranching, and they take great pride in continuing their support of local family farms and ranches throughout the Northwest.

The mild climate, open spaces, and the abundance of natural resources in the Pacific Northwest provide for cattle health and comfort. Additionally, the temperate climate increases access to a diverse range of sustainable feed ingredients, including wheat, corn, barley, potatoes, and hay. All of this allows us to deliver consistently delicious Double R Ranch Northwest Beef.

ONLY USDA CHOICE AND HIGHER

Double R Ranch beef is hand-selected to include only USDA Choice and higher levels of marbling. With unmatched consistency, our Double R Ranch Signature program was the first in the U.S. to be certified as Top 1/3 Choice. Additionally, we offer a Double R Ranch USDA Prime grade program representing only the top end of the USDA marbling scale

INSPIRED BREWING SINCE '96
The idea was brewed up in the heart of Idaho - famous for the Sawtooth mountains, wild rivers and the iconic Sockeye salmon.  The beauty of the Central Idaho Wilderness inspired our passion for high-quality, hand crafted, Idaho-made beers.  Many of our various brews carry the name of landmark sites along the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, part of the river system that is home to Idaho's Sockeye - a 900-mile traveler between Redfish Lake and the Pacific Ocean.

Sockeye Brewing began handcrafting Idaho brews in 1996. We are both inspired to uphold the quality of our recipes and driven to innovate and push new boundaries with our expanding barrel-aging and sour programs. The original pub location on Cole and Ustick is still operating, while our increasingly expanding brewpub on Fairview and Cloverdale now houses all of our production.  Sockeye’s growth is a testament to the demand for quality craft beer throughout the northwest.

Brewing and canning at this location began in 2012, and allowed us to keep up with demand beyond our Cole Road location’s capacity. Ours was the first canning facility to open in Idaho since the 1950’s. Sockeye has expanded its offerings at this location with our second Grill & Brewery. Come enjoy delicious food and Sockeye on tap, in a setting that’s distinctively Idaho!
