Mountain Home Air Force Base is proud to host Gunfighter Skies 2011 ! Gates will open at 8:00 a.m. with performances starting at approximately 11:00 AM and run until about 4:00 PM, September 17 and 18.
Note: There will not be a written or published performance schedule for either day.
The Thunderbirds, the Air Force's elite aerial demonstration team, will perform both days. Other performances include the MiG Fury Fighters (FJ-4, MiG-15, MiG-17), Heritage Flight (P-51/F-15E), F-15E Strike Eagle Demo, Smoke N' Thunder Jet Car, T-33 Acemaker Demo and other local acts.
A variety of static displays will be available to view, to include the F-15E Strike Eagle, the Republic of Singapore Air Force F-15SG, F-16 Fighting Falcon (Thunderbirds), Alpha Jet, T-38, MiG-15, MiG-17, FJ-4, T-33 Acemaker, T-33 Blue Angel, TBM Avenger, P-51D, Jet Car, Fed Ex Jet, B-17, B-25, PT-17 Stearman and T-6 Texan II and many more !
Here are some things you can do to make your day a safe and memorable event:

Buses will be running all day between the parking lot and the event area. If you choose not to ride, the walk is approximately one-and-a-half miles from the parking lot to the show area.

It will likely be hot on the flight-line, so please wear appropriate clothing

Please drink plenty of the water that will be provided/for sale to avoid dehydration

Wear sunscreen as shaded areas will be limited

Bring portable chairs so you'll be more comfortable during the show

If you are sensitive to loud noise, you may want to bring ear plugs
-
If you become lost or separated from your group, go to the information booth or locate a staff member for help
We are opening our gates and welcoming thousands of guests to Mountain Home Air Force Base and want to ensure everyone's safety and security as they enjoy the weekend of fun activities with the public's safety in mind, please note the following entry requirements:

All persons and their vehicles entering Mountain Home AFB are subject to search

All persons and their belongings will be searched prior to entering the flight-line/show area

Attendees 18 and over must have a valid photo ID to enter the installation

Park only in designated areas
-
Drive on designated routes
-
Follow all directions given by law enforcement (civilian & military)
The following are NOT permitted on Mountain Home AFB:

Weapons of any kind, to include: firearms, knives, blow guns, slingshots and air rifles

Persons with Concealed Weapons Permits are NOT authorized to carry a weapon on Mountain Home AFB

Coolers (small, soft insulated type coolers containing infant formula/medicine are authorized)
-
Non-transparent drink containers
-
Alcoholic beverages of any kind
-
Rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, bicycles
-
Pets (assistance dogs are authorized)
-
Backpacks
-
Scanner/transmitter radios
-
Any item deemed unsafe by security personnel
The following are permitted on Mountain Home Air Force Base:

Diaper bags are permitted if infant is present

Small, soft insulated-type coolers to hold infant formula/medicine

Binoculars, cameras and video cameras and standard-sized camera cases
-
Medical equipment/medicine
-
Portable chairs
